About us

Baruch mainly worked on commission, which is why most of his oeuvre is part of private collections and is therefore invisible to other interested parties.

He has been a very prolific artist for sixty years, but I too, great-granddaughter (and artist) knew only a few paintings from his enormous oeuvre.

My husband and I, also helped by family, started this website to increase knowledge about his oeuvre and make it available to a wider audience.

The aim is to collect as many photos of paintings and information about them as possible in a database that should be easy to consult.

That is why we depend on the cooperation of the owners of the paintings, also because of image rights. We can only add photos to the collection with the permission of the owners. We hope that the owners of the paintings also share our interest and respond enthusiastically.

We also want to visualize the historical context as well as possible and conduct research into the use of materials. We also welcome contributions in that area.

We are at the very beginning of this adventure, the intention is that this project continues to grow steadily and information is added all the time. We look forward to your curiosity and interest. Stay tuned!

This website does not serve any commercial purpose and is solely aimed at education.
